TORONTO – The Toronto Raptors continued to pare down their roster Wednesday, waiving forwards Freddie Gillespie and Reggie Perry.
The six-foot-eight, 243-pound Gillespie joined Toronto throughout the 2020-21 season and helped shore up the group’s frontcourt deficiencies, posting averages of 5.6 factors, 4.9 rebounds and 19.6 minutes.
He didn’t impress over 5 pre-season contests nonetheless with averages of two.8 rebounds and seven.5 minutes.
Perry, six-foot-nine, 255 kilos, appeared in two preseason video games, averaging 6.8 minutes, 4.0 factors and one rebound.
The cuts deliver the Raptors’ roster all the way down to 18 gamers. They’ve till Saturday to get it all the way down to 17 (15 gamers on NBA contracts and two two-way contracts).
