Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will handle the fifth Indian Ocean Convention to be held in Abu Dhabi on December 4-5 apart from the Sri Lankan president, Maldivian vice-president and the Fijian prime minister, its organiser stated on Wednesday. The theme of the Indian Ocean Convention 2021 is “Indian Ocean: Ecology, Economy, Epidemic”. Over two days, senior leaders from Indian Ocean littoral international locations will cowl the problems associated to the area within the pre-conference workshops and plenary classes, the India Basis stated.
There can be round 200 delegates and over 50 audio system from 30 international locations. The inaugural handle can be delivered by President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the think-tank stated. The conferences is being organised in collaboration with the RSIS Singapore, Institute of Nationwide Safety Research, Sri Lanka, and the Emirates Centre for Strategic Research and Analysis, UAE, it added.
