The prime minister attended the assembly nearly. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UP BJP president Swatantra Dev Singh and Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma additionally attended the meet.

Saini then met Samajwadi Social gathering chief Akhilesh Yadav who took to Twitter to submit: “I welcome him to the Samajwadi Party”. Earlier on Thursday, one other BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh, Mukesh Verma, resigned from the occasion.

In the meantime, Congress MLA from Behat (Saharanpur) Naresh Saini, Sirsaganj (Firozabad) MLA Hari Om Yadav, and former Samajwadi Social gathering MLA Dr Dharmpal Singh on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Social gathering, ANI stated in a report.

The seven-phase Uttar Pradesh (UP) Meeting polls to be held between 10 February and seven March. The polling in Uttar Pradesh shall be held on  10, 14, 20, 23, 27 February and three March. The counting of votes will happen on 10 March.

Within the 2017 Meeting elections, the BJP gained a landslide victory profitable 312 Meeting seats. The occasion secured a 39.67 % vote share within the elections for 403-member Meeting.
