The farmer unions contesting the Punjab meeting polls will not be a part of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), the umbrella physique that spearheaded the agitation in opposition to the now-repealed agri legal guidelines stated on Saturday.
SKM leaders, in a press convention after their assembly at Kondli on the Singhu border, additionally stated that BKU chief Rakesh Tikait will go to Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh for 3 days in January to press for sacking of Union Minister Ajay Mishra whose son is accused of mowing down protesting farmers final 12 months.
“Tikait will meet victims, jailed farmers and officials. If there is no progress, a siege may be laid in Lakhimpur by farmer organisations,” stated Yudhvir Singh.

“Those organisations taking part in polls are not part of SKM. We will decide about our relation with them in a meeting of SKM four months later,” he stated.
