AGARTALA: Former Tripura chief minister and chief of opposition Manik Sarkar has requested sought chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb to deliver again state troopers who have been deployed to different states, alleging that they aren’t getting the required amenities there.

In a letter to Biplab Kumar Deb, Manik Sarkar mentioned that although there are provisions to deploy India Reserve (IR) Battalion of Tripura State Rifles (TSR) to different states for a brief time period, some TSR personnel are nonetheless deployed for a protracted interval that has left them pissed off and impacts their morale.
“It is found that the essential facilities including food and lodging for the TSR personnel are not properly done in the states where they are deployed. As a result, they are facing challenges and thus affects their morale and also creates frustration among them,” Sarkar mentioned within the letter.
