Congress MLAs and MPs are persevering with their protest exterior the Aluva police station in Ernakulam demanding motion in opposition to the Circle Inspector in reference to the dying by suicide of a 22-year-old regulation pupil.
Congress Aluva MLA Anwar Sadath started the protest on Wednesday and Chalakudy MP Benny Behanan and Angamaly MLA Roji M John joined him. The Congress leaders stated that protest will proceed until motion is taken in opposition to the CI and if no motion then the protest will unfold to different elements of the State.
The 22-year-old LLB pupil Moufiya Parveen died by suicide on November 22 after leaving a word. The word stated that motion needs to be taken in opposition to the husband and parents-in-law. The word additionally says that there needs to be motion in opposition to the CI of the Aluva police station. There have been allegations in opposition to the CI for not taking any motion in opposition to her criticism and treating her badly on the police station.
Police have registered a case of dowry dying and abetment to suicide and have arrested Moufiya’s husband and parents-in-law.
Roji M John stated that crucial disciplinary motion needs to be taken in opposition to the circle inspector whose identify has been talked about within the suicide word.
Roji M John stated, “If we verify the earlier document of this police officer this has occurred a number of occasions previously. This officer is a steady offender, he’s a prison within the police power and such criminals shouldn’t be allowed to proceed in our police power. He added that the protests will not stop till their demands have been met.
The circle Inspector has been transferred out from the Aluva station. Roji M John said that the transfer is not a punishment. The MLA added that all this while they did not take this protest against the government. “If the higher police officials are not ready to suspend this officer we suspect that he has got all the political support. If that is happening we will continue our protest. If the government is not ready to take action the protest will spread to other parts of the State,” Roji stated.
In accordance with the household of Parveen, she returned house round 3 pm from the police station after assembly the CI and hours after this she died by suicide in her home on November 22.
The wedding was on April 3 and he or she lived for about two months together with her husband and he or she informed her household that she needed a divorce and that she was mentally harassed.
The household alleges that her husband had requested for lakhs of rupees stating that he desires to make a movie. She had filed a criticism with the ladies’s fee. The fee had forwarded the criticism to the police it was on this criticism that she was referred to as to the police station.
In a word left behind allegedly by Parveen, it says, “There needs to be motion in opposition to the CI. Shuhail and his dad and mom are criminals. They need to get most punishment. That’s my final want.”
According to the family, he had said that she has mental issues. The note says, “I don’t know what stories he will say if I die. He has already made me a mental patient. Again whatever I do, he will say it’s mental illness. I can’t take this anymore. I have suffered a lot. God will not forgive you.”
